background:

I guess I've always been a reporter of sorts. As a child I was drawn to newspapers, and would read each section that ended up on the floor after my grandparents finished reading them. In high school, I joined yearbook as a sophomore, learning layout and design, points and picas and the importance of spelling names correctly. In college, I switched to the school paper, and bounced around from reporter, to section editor, to copy chief, online editor and eventually editor in chief. Professionally, I've worked as a general assignment reporter, copy editor, online editor, videographer and managing editor.
